Supporting families on the Home Front
When war started, SSAFA recruited 50,000 volunteers to carry out our work. In 1914 alone, these volunteers helped over one million Forces family members across the UK and Ireland.
Back then, we believed that one of the best ways of supporting our Forces was by looking after their families.
We still believe this today.
